680081 event 1738276689 1738276847 <![CDATA[The Art of Diplomacy with Former Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat]]> The Sam Nunn Schol of International Affairs is honored to host former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Stuart Eizenstat, to discuss his career in diplomacy and his new book, The Art of Diplomacy: How American Negotiators Reached Historic Agreements that Changed the World. 

Ambassador Eizenstat served as the U.S. Ambassador to the EU from 1993 to 1996 and as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury from 1999 to 2001. He will be joined by former U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait and Nunn School Diplomat-in-Residence, Lawrence Silverman, for a moderated discussion on the importance of diplomacy in American foreign policy.
