His current research interests focus on the integration of photonic structures with miniature atomic systems for compact, fieldable quantum devices and sensors. \u0026nbsp;He received his Ph.D. at Harvard University in the group of John Doyle studying cold molecular collisions and completed a post-doc at JILA in the group of Jun Ye developing molecular laser cooling techniques.\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":"","format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EFor these devices to be adopted more broadly in industrial and commercial applications, transferring the spectroscopic techniques from the laboratory to an environmentally robust and manufacturable platform is desirable. \u0026nbsp;I will discuss our group\u2019s work on integrating laser spectroscopy of warm atomic vapors with single-mode waveguide nanophotonic structures. \u0026nbsp;Additionally, I will discuss the development of two different compact optical clocks based on microfabricated vapor cells.
