This safe, welcoming space is dedicated to exploring the intersection of Black and queer identities, offering an opportunity to share experiences and find solace in knowing you're not alone in the struggle. Throughout the evening, we’ll engage in meaningful conversations about influential Black queer figures such as Marsha P. Johnson, Audre Lorde, Angela Davis, James Baldwin, and Bayard Rustin. We’ll discuss the challenges of navigating both racial and queer identities, from feeling like you have to “be Black today, but gay tomorrow,” to addressing racism in the queer community and homophobia and transphobia in the Black community.
