Abstract

As the sixth mass extinction unfolds, the urgency to understand biodiversity loss has never been greater. This talk delves into how climate change is altering species’ geographic ranges, shifting where they live, how they time-critical life events, and how they interact with one another. By leveraging observations, experiments, and large-scale datasets, the presentation explores the fundamental ecological question of what limits species’ distributions and how this knowledge can address pressing environmental challenges.
