{"679493":{"#nid":"679493","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Biannual Compliance Training Launching Soon","body":[{"value":"\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe 2025 Spring\u202fBiannual Compliance Training will help Georgia Tech employees\u202funderstand and uphold\u202fthe University System of Georgia\u202f(USG) and the Institute\u2019s policies and compliance obligations.\u202f\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cThis compliance training equips Georgia Tech employees with the necessary knowledge and understanding of our responsibility to keep the Institute safe,\u201d said Leo Howell, vice president for Information Technology and chief information officer. \u201cThis semester\u2019s training specifically includes cybersecurity modules that focus on how to keep your accounts safe from compromise by cyberthreats, and generative AI awareness.\u201d\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAll faculty, staff, and students who are active employees as of Jan. 1\u202fwill be required to complete the\u202f2025 Spring\u202fBiannual Compliance Training by 11:59 p.m.\u202fEST\u202fon Friday, Feb. 28.\u202fThe training will be\u202favailable at \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/b.gatech.edu\/genius\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Ehttps:\/\/b.gatech.edu\/genius\u003C\/a\u003E and will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe training is mandated by the USG for all employees. \u201cTraining plays an important role in a well-rounded and effective compliance program.
