Rewards and recognition, psychological safety and well-being, and operational practices and policies emerged as areas for improvement. Over the past year, partners across campus have actively engaged in initiatives to enhance these areas.\u202f\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ERewards and Recognition\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003ELast year, Human Resources \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/hr.gatech.edu\/2024\/10\/03\/georgia-tech-service-milestones-are-getting-a-refresh\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Erevamped the way employees\u2019 career milestones are recognized\u003C\/a\u003E. Now, all full-time, benefits-eligible receive one- and five-year recognition, as well as recognition at five-year intervals after their first five years of service. Meanwhile, milestone honorees with 10 or more years of service will receive a unique login code every five years for a gift selection portal that will ship the gift of their choice to their home. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHuman Resources is also \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/hr.gatech.edu\/2024\/11\/26\/job-families-defining-clear-career-paths\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Eupdating the categorization of jobs\u003C\/a\u003E to enable smoother career navigation. Over the next year, the Institute\u2019s five existing job categories will expand to 12 distinct job families. The goal is to provide staff with a well-defined path to career growth based on necessary qualifications and the complexity of work.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPsychological Safety Strategy\u202f\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EA team from across campus developed and began implementing a strategy to equip staff and faculty with the skills to foster a psychologically safe environment. The team has offered workshops, improved resource access, and fostered a shared language around psychological safety, with positive staff feedback highlighting its success. An introductory course will launch early this year as part of the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/hr.gatech.edu\/leading-at-tech-leadership-training\/#:~:text=This%20initiative%20aims%20to%20create,and%20engagement%20and%20well%2Dbeing.\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ELeading @ Tech\u003C\/a\u003E program.\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ELeader 360 Feedback for Executive and Senior Leaders\u202f\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn the spring, executive and senior leaders participated in a Leader 360-degree feedback process to enhance their development. This process, based on the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/hr.gatech.edu\/leader-competencies\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ELeader Competency Model\u003C\/a\u003E aligned with Georgia Tech values, helps leaders understand their strengths and areas for growth. The initiative underscored Tech\u2019s commitment to leading by example and fostering a culture of belonging.\u202fFeedback from the program has been used to improve leadership skills and prepare leaders to develop and participate in future initiatives.\u202f\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EGallup Survey Results and Strategy\u202f\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h4\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn October, Georgia Tech participated in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/news.gatech.edu\/news\/2024\/09\/06\/gallup-survey-assess-employee-engagement\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EGallup Q12 Employee Engagement Survey\u003C\/a\u003E, with a 47% response rate among faculty and staff.
