Power supplies like this are highly demanded, due to the prevalence of micro and portable electronics. However, the state of the art with multiple-inductor, multiplexed single-inductor, or switched-inductor-capacitor hybrid solutions all require trade-offs between efficiency, compactness, and response time during charging. This research seeks to avoid the trade-offs by employing a serial-battery topology, which allows the battery to be placed in series with the output. Additionally, the study develops and validates design guidelines for single-inductor multiple-I\/O power supplies for better efficiency. This approach enables the power supply to simultaneously achieve high efficiency, minimal size, and rapid response.\u003C\/p\u003E","format":"limited_html"}],"field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Fast, Compact, and Power-Efficient Switched-Inductor Serial-Battery Battery-Charging Voltage Regulator"}],"uid":"28475","created_gmt":"2025-01-04 21:19:27","changed_gmt":"2025-01-04 21:22:18","author":"Daniela Staiculescu","boilerplate_text":"","field_publication":"","field_article_url":"","field_event_time":{"event_time_start":"2025-02-07T10:30:00-05:00","event_time_end":"2025-02-07T12:30:00-05:00","event_time_end_last":"2025-02-07T12:30:00-05:00","gmt_time_start":"2025-02-07 15:30:00","gmt_time_end":"2025-02-07 17:30:00","gmt_time_end_last":"2025-02-07 17:30:00","rrule":null,"timezone":"America\/New_York"},"location":"Room 509, TSRB","extras":[],"groups":[{"id":"434371","name":"ECE Ph.D. Proposal Oral Exams"}],"categories":[],"keywords":[{"id":"102851","name":"Phd proposal"},{"id":"1808","name":"graduate students"}],"core_research_areas":[],"news_room_topics":[],"event_categories":[{"id":"1788","name":"Other\/Miscellaneous"}],"invited_audience":[{"id":"78771","name":"Public"}],"affiliations":[],"classification":[],"areas_of_expertise":[],"news_and_recent_appearances":[],"phone":[],"contact":[],"email":[],"slides":[],"orientation":[],"userdata":""}}}
