{"678733":{"#nid":"678733","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Library helps launch new space management system in Scheller","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EIf the process of booking the Scheller College of Business\u2019 study rooms have been easier recently, you might have members of the Library\u2019s Service Delivery Team to thank.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn Fall 2024 Garth Milford and Sharetha Dantes, both of whom work for the Library providing service delivery, partnered with their colleagues in the Scheller College of Business to make the process of booking study rooms easier for students, faculty and staff.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cThe expertise and the unwavering support from Garth and Sharetha have been instrumental in guiding this initiative to success,\u201d said Will Tran, IT Support Professional in Scheller. \u201cFrom project initiation through to its closure, their dedication ensured we had the tools, resources, and guidance needed to address any challenges.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe work came out of the Library\u2019s efforts throughout 2023 to simplify booking of the Library and Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons\u2019 more than 200 separate study rooms \u2013 which see more than 41,000 bookings a year. In that process, said Milford and Dantes, the Library landed on a solution that could integrate with BuzzCards and existing room indicators for efficiency, visibility and ease of use.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EOther units on campus took notice of the change, and soon Scheller asked for guidance in switching over their study room booking tool in a similar fashion.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cWe set up tours, calls, lessons learned sessions and more to ensure the process went smoothly,\u201d said Milford.
