During German Day 2024 this fall, students will have an opportunity to learn more about the program (degrees, LBAT, courses, activities, etc.) and meet like-minded students, alumni, and our partners from the German-speaking community in metro-Atlanta (consulates, cultural institutes, companies, etc.). We plan to have a three-part program: 1) An introduction to the program, especially testimonies from LBAT 2024 (summer study abroad program) and information about scholarships. 2) An alumni panel where former students minoring, majoring or doing an MS in German talk about their steps after graduation (going abroad, accepting a job, applying for an MS). 3) A "speed dating" type networking session where students can talk to our guests from the German-speaking community and learn about them as persons, their profession, their experience with intercultural miscommunication and competence, etc.
