His transdisciplinary work spans scientific and design processes, from material exploration and natural experimentation to artistic outreach. Quitmeyer has worked with large organizations like Cartoon Network, IDEO, and the Smithsonian, taught as a tenure-track professor at the National University of Singapore, and even had his research turned into a (silly) television series called \u201c\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3H3umVHn1CU\u0026amp;list=PL39_ud5aKSvkInE6cZaDkcm5GbLVcA461\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EHacking\u202fthe Wild\u003C\/a\u003E,\u201d distributed by Discovery Networks.\u202f\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHe spends most of his time volunteering with smaller organizations and communities, and recently founded the field-station makerspace,\u202f\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.dinalab.net\/\u0022 rel=\u0022noreferrer noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDigital Naturalism Laboratories\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E. In the rainforest of Gamboa, Panama, Dinalab blends biological fieldwork and technological crafting with a community of local and international scientists, artists, engineers, and animal rehabilitators.
