  <title><![CDATA[ WISyE Tea: Empowering Women in ISyE Through Networking and Professional Development ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<div><div><p>The Women of Industrial and Systems Engineering (WISyE), a newly launched registered student organization (RSO), held a tea meet-and-greet, marking the beginning of what promises to be a transformative community for women in the department.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>"This meet-and-greet social was designed to motivate, encourage, and empower women ISyE students while providing professional development opportunities," said <a href="https://www.isye.gatech.edu/users/nicoly-myles">Nicoly Myles</a>, Director of the Center for Academics, Success, and Equity (CASE).&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>The event is just the first of many planned initiatives to build a supportive and inclusive environment for women in the ISyE department.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>Reese Baker and Savannah Elizondo Vega, a few of the students driving forces behind WISyE, shared their excitement about the event and the organization’s future.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>"This is the kickoff for building something truly special with WISyE. We're organizing elections, and it's inspiring to see everyone come together to start shaping this new community," Savannah said.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>Reese added, "It’s all about raising awareness and bringing together the incredible community of ISyE women on campus.
