Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, has been awarded the 2024 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Heat Transfer Memorial Award.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Heat Transfer Memorial Award, established in 1959 by the Heat Transfer Division and elevated to a Society award in 1974, is bestowed on individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of heat transfer through teaching, research, practice, design, service, leadership, and inventions.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0022It is very gratifying to receive this recognition from the premier heat transfer research community,\u0022 said Garimella.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGarimella joined Georgia Tech in 2003 as an associate professor and director of the\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/stsl.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E Sustainable Thermal Systems Laboratory\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E.
