It\u2019s an added benefit that these programs are a real bargain at Georgia Tech,\u201d said Joy Olabisi, assistant vice provost for Graduate Education.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to the overall growth in numbers, Georgia Tech is also proud of the increasing diversity among its graduate students. From Fall 2023 to Fall 2024, Hispanic graduate students rose by 44%, from 566 to 814, while Black\/African American student enrollment increased by 36%, from 443 to 602. This reflects the Institute\u0027s ongoing efforts to create an inclusive environment that welcomes students from all backgrounds.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe total graduate student enrollment at Georgia Tech now stands at 33,315, a 17% increase from last year. The Atlanta campus alone is home to 8,333 of these students, with 3,953 pursuing Ph.D.s. These numbers underscore the critical role graduate students play in the Institute\u0027s mission.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cGraduate students play an integral role in enhancing Georgia Tech\u2019s reputation as a leading research institution,\u201d said Olabisi. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to see that so many graduate applicants see Georgia Tech as a place where they not only develop as leaders but also shape the future through technological advancements.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFurthermore, Georgia Tech has seen a 20% increase in B.S. to M.S. enrollment, a testament to the success of its accelerated pathways for current B.S. students.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAs Olabisi explained, \u201cMore of Tech\u2019s graduate programs are establishing accelerated pathways to M.S. degrees for current B.S. students, which is an attractive recruiting strategy because it enhances career opportunities in a familiar context, minimizing transitional challenges while providing a financial bargain.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAs Georgia Tech continues to expand and diversify its graduate programs, it remains committed to providing students with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, both academically and professionally.
