She is the Program Director for Georgia Tech\u2019s VentureLab and Co-Director of the Institute\u2019s CREATE-X Female Founders program. As an adjunct instructor for the National Science Foundation\u2019s Innovation Corps program and a lead instructor for Georgia Tech\u2019s I-Corps South Node, she has taught the lean methodology to over 800 startup teams. In 2020, Melissa co-developed and co-founded the Female Founders program to provide a space for women-led entrepreneurial teams to explore a first business model, engage with an all-female coaching team, interact with successful female entrepreneurs, and receive non-dilutive funding. The Female Founders initiative is responding to the need for more equitable opportunities for women entrepreneurs.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cem\u003EThis event is the first session in the 2024-2025 Bench2Market Talks series, created to provide commercialization guidance to the university research community.
