  <title><![CDATA[Dilruk De Silva Appointed as C21U Director of Global Operations to Lead GT Atrium Initiative ]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<div><p>The Center for 21st Century Universities (C21U) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dilruk De Silva as the new director of global operations for the Georgia Tech Atrium initiative. In this role, De Silva will oversee and coordinate a broad spectrum of operations, encompassing compliance, finance, human resources, IT, infrastructure, facility, and management. His leadership will extend to the Atrium's global operations, underscoring the Institute’s commitment to international collaboration and excellence.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>“The GT Atrium initiative aims to provide co-learning space and technology for professional development, collaboration, and online studies in various locations in the United States and worldwide. We are thrilled to welcome Dil, whose international education expertise will help us in our mission to reinvent Georgia Tech's physical presence on a global yet localized scale,” remarked Steve Harmon, Lifetime Learning’s associate dean of research and C21U’s executive director.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>With over fourteen years of experience in international higher education spanning three continents, De Silva comes to C21U after serving as the senior associate director of international advancement at Wesleyan University and vice president of administrative affairs at Ghent University.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>“I am excited to join the C21U team within the newly established Lifetime Learning organization and look forward to collaborating with the broader Tech community in steering the GT Atrium on a global scale,” stated De Silva.&nbsp;</p></div><div><p>Dilruk holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chester, United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the National University of Ireland. He has also worked as a consultant in the United Kingdom and Spain, collaborating with several prominent institutions to establish their internationalization initiatives.&nbsp;</p></div>]]></body>
