This change reflects Tech Dining\u2019s commitment to adapting and enhancing facilities to better serve Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBrittain Dining Hall has been a staple at Georgia Tech for years. However, due to the extreme costs required for necessary renovations, the Institute made the difficult decision to close the facility. Ensuring the safety of all students was key in making this decision, as the current space presents infrastructure and food safety concerns.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cWe understand that Brittain Dining Hall holds a special place in the hearts of many, and its closure is a significant change,\u201d said Ryan Greene, Senior Director of Tech Dining. \u201cOur team is committed to ensuring that the transition is as smooth as possible, and we are excited about the enhanced services and options now available to our students.\u201d\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ETo accommodate this change, Tech Dining is incorporating key changes:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ENorth Avenue Dining Hall will now be open 24 hours, Monday through Thursday, with 150 additional seats to accommodate more students. This includes ADA-compliant and expanded outdoor seating.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EThe GoFood program is being updated to allow students to take out meals up to three times a day, an increase from once daily, to support their busy schedules better.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBrittain\u2019s Executive Chef will be transitioning to North Avenue.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/dining.gatech.edu\/dining-locations\/campus-retail\u0022\u003ERetail locations\u003C\/a\u003E, including Dunkin\u2019 and Jimmy John\u2019s at the Student Center, will have extended hours next semester to further support the dining needs of our community.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EA robot delivery service will also be launched at the beginning of the Fall to provide on-demand meal delivery for our campus community.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWest Village Dining Hall will also be available for dining needs, providing another convenient option for students. For more late-night dining options, students can order from Tech Dining\u2019s newest concept, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/dining.gatech.edu\/location\/missing-t\u0022\u003EThe Missing T\u003C\/a\u003E, which will be open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAlso, our campus transportation services provided by Parking and Transportation Services will remain accessible to all traveling to North Avenue even during extended hours. We are improving pedestrian traffic at the intersection for safer and more efficient traffic flow.
