The Fall 2024 Biannual Compliance Training is just around the corner, launching Thursday, Aug. 1. All faculty, staff, and student employees, who are active employees as of July 1, will be required to complete the training by Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 11:59 p.m. (EDT).     

About the Training

The Fall Biannual Compliance Training consists of three parts and corresponding modules. The entire training should take approximately 90 minutes to complete.  

Part 1: 2024 Fall Biannual Compliance Training (all three parts must be completed) 

1. University System of Georgia (USG) Ethics Refresher 

2. USG Campus Security Authority Training 

3. Ethics in Action at Georgia Tech (includes Conflict of Interest attestation) 

Part 2: 2024 Fall Biannual Compliance Training – Push It to the Limit: Push Notification Abuse 

Part 3: 2024 Fall Biannual Compliance Training – Your Role: Internet Security and You 

Training Timeline  

• Aug. 1: Training period begins  

• Aug. 28: Training period ends  

• Aug. 31: Softlocks (to Georgia Tech systems) begin for employees who have not completed the training   

• Sept. 29: Softlock period ends  

• Sept. 30: Final report of employees who have not completed the training sent to Institute leadership  

• Oct. 1: Disciplinary action begins  

What HR Partners and People Leaders Can Do Today   

To help ensure only active employees (including students and temporary employees) are enrolled in the training, please make sure anyone who is not actively working or will not be working after July 1 is removed from the HCM system in OneUSG Connect. Instructions on removing an employee from the system in OneUSG Connect can be found here (note that only people leaders with direct reports have access to the link).  

Promoting Compliance   

As in the past, email reminders will be sent to employees during the training period as well as the lock out period. Throughout the campaign, managers will have access to reports showing direct reports who have not completed the training. Reports will also be sent to executive leadership on a regular basis.
