Zachary Hayes, director of the Enterprise Data Governance & Discovery program, spoke during the opening address at the TrustWeek 2024 conference, hosted by OneTrust.
OneTrust, a cloud-software provider based in Atlanta, hosts the annual TrustWeek conference for governance, privacy, risk, and security industry leaders and partners. Held in Austin, Texas, May 20-22, TrustWeek 2024 welcomed more than 500 attendees and featured 90 speakers (including former Vice President Al Gore) and more than 60 sessions around the latest in data governance, responsible data use, and artificial intelligence governance. TrustWeek 2025 will be hosted May 12-14 in Atlanta.
Hayes' remarks highlighted the intentional alignment of privacy and cybersecurity to the Data Governance & Discovery program to bring about better trust to Institute data assets, in turn providing more impactful enterprise data services. The OneTrust platform, licensed by Georgia Tech in 2023, provides technology support for critical functions of the program and for a newly formed privacy program in the Office of the General Counsel.
