She has a proven track record in financial leadership that will be invaluable during this transitional period,\u201d said Bolton. \u201cShe has been instrumental in leading the institutional budget reform work that is underway and I am pleased for her to join the team as the interim vice president for Finance and Planning and chief financial officer. I am confident that Jamie will provide the strategic vision and operational excellence necessary to guide our institution\u2019s financial planning teams as we embark on a national search for the next leader of the unit.\u201d\u202f \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFernandes joined Georgia Tech in 2019 as executive director for Institute Budget Planning and Administration and is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and administration of the Institute\u2019s annual $3.1 billion budget. Since 2021, Fernandes has led Georgia Tech\u2019s efforts to transform the Institute\u2019s budget process with a focus on increasing transparency, accountability, and cost containment.
