The conference will begin in the afternoon on April 25 and end in the afternoon on April 26. We expect participants to attend both days of the conference. The host institution will host dinner on April 25, and breakfast and lunch on April 26; participants will be reimbursed for parking. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we will have limited funds to support lodging for one night for presenters from outside the Metro Atlanta area. Preference for this funding will be given to junior scholars and to those who do not have alternative sources of support.

2024 Keynote Speaker

Francisca Antman is a professor with research interests in international migration and human capital investments, income inequality, poverty traps, adult children’s care for elderly parents,  the economic mobility of individuals and families over time and generations, and the allocation of resources within households and families, the endogeneity of race and ethnicity, and economic development in historical perspective. Her current work focuses on the impact of migration on the health and education outcomes for children and parents of migrants remaining in Mexico. She will present on "Water Quality, Alternative Beverages, and Economic Development."
