      <value><![CDATA[<p><span><span><span>The objective of the proposed research is to introduce a new type of integrated photonic device that can improve the scalability of quantum devices.&nbsp; There has been a large focus on quantum technology research in recent years, due to the fundamental predictability and accuracy observed in quantum physics.&nbsp; This field can be applied to a multitude of different applications, including computing and sensing, but miniaturization remains a hurdle for the field.&nbsp; As such, this research has the potential for a transformative impact on the field of quantum photonics by enabling a novel new paradigm for the realization of practical, scalable, and manufacturable quantum chips for sensing, communications, and computing applications.</span></span></span></p>
