  <body><![CDATA[<p>For eight years, GRAPPA (or Genome Rearrangements Analysis under Parsimony and other Phylogenetic Algorithms) has been used to study genetic and evolutionary relationships. Now, thanks to a $1 million NSF grant, GRAPPA will get ramped up to a whole new level--the petascale level. We're breaking new ground with each new algorithm and implementation, where no one has studied before, says principal investigator and Professor David Bader of Computational Science and Engineering. <br /></p>]]></body>
