Sloan Foundation\u003C\/a\u003E are intended to recognize and support exceptional researchers \u201cwhose creativity, innovation, and research accomplishments make them stand out as the next generation of leaders,\u201d according to the foundation.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ECorrea-Baena is an assistant professor and Goizueta Early Career Faculty Chair in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/mse.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ESchool of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)\u003C\/a\u003E. His research focuses on understanding and controlling nanoscale chemical structures in low-cost semiconductors used for optical and electronic applications. His team also works on advanced techniques for characterizing these very small materials and interactions.
