Social Explorer is a web-based tool providing easy access to demographic information about the United States. It is used by Google, the New York Times, FedEx, and the FBI, among other companies. As part of this workshop, users can view Census data and information from the American Community Survey or upload their own datasets.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops. However, computers will be available.

This event is part of Love Data Week 2024. This year’s theme, “My Kind of Data,” aims to highlight the personal aspects of data and its impact on our world.

Established in 2016, Love Data Week is an international event in which a wide range of institutions, organizations, scholars, students, and other data lovers celebrate their data.
