It will be painted over two months on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and students, faculty and staff are invited to watch the piece coming to life. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u201cThis piece has been a design and research exploration for more than a year and is now coming to fruition as the custom robotic technology and conceptual design converge,\u201d said Al-Haddad.\u0026nbsp;\u201cThis merger of art, science and engineering illustrates the type of exciting work that can be realized through multi-disciplinary research and design projects at Georgia Tech.\u201d\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EIn 2023, the Library \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003Epartnered with former Georgia Tech assistant professor and double-graduate Jacket Al-Haddad for the second installment of the Artist-In-Residence program. \u003Cem\u003EPolycentric Truthes\u003C\/em\u003E is the culmination of the program. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EAl-Haddad, who also designed and implemented the Library\u2019s seventh-floor roof terrace \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/youtu.be\/tGqJrsfeSDs\u0022\u003ECrosland Chroma\u003C\/a\u003E project, said \u003Cem\u003EPolycentric Truthes\u003C\/em\u003E \u201cseeks to transform the written knowledge stored in the library into large-scale, interpretive drawings across the north fa\u00e7ade of the building.\u201d\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003ETo create the work, Al-Haddad partnered with Chen to utilize his \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/research.gatech.edu\/introducing-gtgraffiti-robot-paints-human\u0022\u003Ehuman-style painting robot\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EThe Georgia Tech Library Artist-in-Residence program enhances and expands the current educational experience through arts-based programming as it relates to STEM fields and Georgia Tech areas of study.
