He has developed over seven publicly available software programs and co-authored five peer-reviewed papers including one clinical trial on digital tools for patient and provider education. Santiago was the recipient of the Emory School of Medicine Staff Spotlight on 2023 and has won several software development product competitions. In addition to his academic work, Santiago is passionate about bridging the gap between industry-level design and academic research.
