The Institute was ranked No. 90 last year.\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EThe ranking is based on student responses, of which Georgia Tech had 284 for this year\u2019s ranking. Final rankings are a composite of 13 areas, six of which assess student perceptions of freedom of speech on campus.\u0026nbsp; \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003ETech also recently received a green light in FIRE\u2019s Spotlight Rankings. The green light indicates that an institution maintains no policies that seriously threaten free speech. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EThe rise in Tech\u2019s FIRE ranking coincides with an effort to bolster freedom of expression on campus.
