She will join Georgia Tech on Aug. 7 and be a direct report to \u003Cstrong\u003ELaurence Jacobs\u003C\/strong\u003E, \u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003Esenior vice provost for Education and Learning\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EShe will be responsible for advancing the Institute\u2019s strategic goal of transformative teaching and learning, overseeing and executing programs that promote and support teaching effectiveness and student success. She has also been an associate professor in Georgia State\u2019s Neuroscience Institute and Department of Biology for the past 14 years. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u003Cspan\u003ECarruth said she is excited to join the Georgia Tech community and \u201cto contribute to the innovations in teaching and research that have made the university a model of excellence.
