{"667351":{"#nid":"667351","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Workshop on Materials for the Hydrogen Energy Value Chain","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Institute for Materials (IMat) and the Strategic Energy Institute (SEI) at Georgia Tech are jointly sponsoring a workshop having the objective to identify the materials research gaps, challenges and needs for hydrogen storage and transport. While research in electrolysis technologies for green hydrogen production and fuel cells for energy conversion tend to receive the prime attention, for the hydrogen economy to be realized, there are crucial challenges in developing reliable, efficient, and costeffective storage and transport, and in the use of hydrogen in combustion technologies for energy conversion. What brings these topics together is the need to understand and design materials to contend with the extreme environments that hydrogen and these technologies present.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis workshop builds on Georgia Tech\u0027s commitment to developing effective technologies related to all \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/research.gatech.edu\/hydrogen\u0022\u003Easpects of hydrogen\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe agenda will include presentations from external experts on these topics from industry and national labs followed by breakouts of the diverse participants to identify the gaps and challenges that need to be addressed in the next decade and beyond.
