{"66518":{"#nid":"66518","#data":{"type":"event","title":"World FM Day Open House","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;The School of Building Construction will host an open house to commemorate World FM Day June 23, as part of a global effort to celebrate and promote the facility management profession. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe BC open house will showcase various facility management projects around campus from 8 to 10 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. The School of Building Construction is located in the Architecture Annex building, on the first floor; all members of the campus community are welcome to attend.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWorld FM Day is a collaboration between the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.ifma.org\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EInternational Facility Management Association (IFMA) \u003C\/a\u003Eand\u0026nbsp; Global FM. Global FM member organizations on six different continents will celebrate \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.ifma.org\/events\/world-fm-day.htm\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EWorld FM Day\u003C\/a\u003E by organizing events such as luncheons, seminars and workshops, or by undertaking any other activity to celebrate and promote facility management.\u0026nbsp;The event aims to raise the FM profession profile around the globe\u2014promoting facility management\u0027s ideals worldwide, not only within the profession and industry, but also among the governments and the general public.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech\u2019s School of Building Construction is one of two universities in the country and three internationally to currently offer accredited graduate-level degrees in Facility Management. The master\u2019s degree was recently re-accredited by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Foundation. The Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Building Construction and Integrated Facility Management. has three distinct tracks: Integrated Facility and Property Management, Integrated Project Delivery Systems, and Residential Construction and Development.\u0026nbsp; The \u2018Integrated Facility Management Track\u2019 is now also offered in an online format (2011).\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBuilding Construction Associate Professor Kathy O.
