Nnamdi is a graduate teaching assistant in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and a member of the Bio-Medical Informatics and Bio-Imaging Laboratory directed by Professor May Wang in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECadence Design Syst\u00adems, Inc. produces\u0026nbsp;software,\u0026nbsp;hardware\u0026nbsp;and silicon structures for designing\u0026nbsp;integrated circuits,\u0026nbsp;systems on chips\u0026nbsp;(SoCs) and\u0026nbsp;printed circuit boards. The company\u2019s Diversity in Technology Scholarship supports underrepresented groups in their pursuit of careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ENnamdi\u2019s graduate research focuses on the intersection of bioinformatics, machine learning, and signal and image analysis with broad applications to\u0026nbsp;clinical decision support. In addition to his Ph.D. research, Nnamdi serves as the African Graduate Students Connect (AGSC) vice president at Georgia Tech and is actively involved in organizing education and social events that are beneficial to all African graduate students.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ECadence scholarship winners are selected based on their impressive academic achievements, leadership, and drive to shape the world of technology. The scholarship works to build a culture that embraces inclusivity as well as diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.
