663806 news 1670861513 1670863753 <![CDATA[Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons closed Dec. 16 - Jan. 6]]> Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons will be closed to the public from 7 a.m. Dec. 16 through 7 a.m. Jan. 6 for renovations to the main stairs and carpeting.

It will temporarily open Saturday, Dec. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. for graduation photos on the rooftop garden.

Michael Patten, facilities manager for the Library and Clough Commons, said the main staircase will be refinished from the current metallic surface to a polished concrete that will better stand up to the wear and tear of heavy foot traffic. Additionally, crews will replace all carpet in the common areas throughout the building. This includes hallways, common study areas, and common lounge areas. It will not include breakout rooms, office suites, or classrooms.

Faculty and staff with offices in Clough are encouraged to find alternate working arrangement during this time period.
