Their 49-minute conversation revolved around the challenges and opportunities for India as the world\u0026#39;s population reached 8 billion people this month.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAlong with investments in infrastructure, the government also needs to invest in human capital, Dhongde said.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;The country has, as you mentioned, very high unemployment rates, especially among the youth,\u0026rdquo; Dhongde told Shah. \u0026ldquo;How are we going to address that question, right? Are we imparting them the adequate skills? Are we letting labor migration move freely across the country or even between countries? What are the types of skills that the youth will need coming forward?\u0026rdquo;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDhongde also emphasized the importance of educating the next generation of Indian youth as the country\u0026rsquo;s population continues to grow.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EIs India Ready to Become the World\u0026#39;s Most Populous Country? was published on Nov. 25.
