More specifically, he is a leading researcher in the environmental applications of nanomaterials and their potential fate, transport, transformation, bioaccumulation and toxicity in the environment\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EStephan Klaine \u2014\u003C\/strong\u003E a professor at the School of Biological Sciences at the Clemson University, Dr. Klaine\u0027s research interests are in the behavior and effects of nanomaterials in aquatic ecosystems, environmental fate and effects of pesticides and metals, connections between fish brain chemistry and predator-prey behavior, environmentally sustainable development and impacts on aquatic ecosystems.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EDong Qin \u2014\u003C\/strong\u003E an associate professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech, Dr. Qin\u0027s research interest centers on the cutting-edge research that bridges traditional fields of chemistry and materials science, with a focus on peculiar properties and applications enabled by materials and systems at the nanoscale.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe goal for the forum is to connect the medical\/life sciences\/biology and nanotechnology communities. The goal is to reach out researchers in the biomedical \/ life sciences areas and letting them know what nanotechnology can offer them in the advancement of their research. After the talks, a tour of the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology Cleanroom will be organized for the interested participants.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EA box lunch is included at no cost to the participants.
