Brittain Postdoctoral Fellows\u003C\/a\u003E, recent Ph.D. recipients have the opportunity to work as short-term faculty members in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC) and to develop professionally and innovate in areas of teaching, research, and service.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EDuring the three-year, highly selective fellowship, the postdoctoral teaching fellows instruct first-year composition and other communication classes and participate in semester-long\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/wcprogram.lmc.gatech.edu\/brittain-fellowship\/postdoctoral-seminars\u0022\u003Epostdoctoral seminars\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;sponsored by the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/wcprogram.lmc.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EWriting and Communication Program (WCP).\u003C\/a\u003E Many fellows also support student success as consultants in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.communicationcenter.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ENaugle Communication Center\u003C\/a\u003E. Brittain Fellows account for nearly half of the 80 faculty in LMC and teach 5,500 Georgia Tech students each year in their composition and communication classes.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThis year, 15 Brittain Fellows have accepted positions at higher education institutions across the United Chattopadhyay, assistant professor of global anglophone literatures at Berry College\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EJosh Cohen, lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Georgia\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ESean DiLeonardi, assistant professor of English and director of digital studies at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EJeff Howard, assistant professor of English and director of the University Writing Center at Converse University\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003ELizzy LeRud, postdoctoral fellow at the Georgia Tech Office of Undergraduate Education\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EKent Linthicum, visiting assistant professor of English at The College of medieval literature at Clemson University\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EMolly Slavin, assistant professor of English at Clark Atlanta University\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EEmily Smith, assistant professor of English at Brenau University\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EAnu Thapa, assistant professor of cinema studies at Virginia Tech\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EGeorge Thomas, visiting assistant professor of English at Guilford College\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\t\u003Cli\u003EJulia Tigner, assistant professor of English in African American literature at Jacksonville State University\u003C\/li\u003E\r\n\u003C\/ul\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe new cohort of Brittain Fellows will be announced in early August, and the new faculty members will begin teaching in the Fall
