The goal was to improve the car\u0026rsquo;s energy efficiency while balancing emissions, safety, and consumer acceptability factors.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOriginally a six-cylinder, the Georgia Tech team converted its Blazer to a four-cylinder hybrid vehicle with adaptive cruise control.
