Samantha Cameron, Cade Lawson, and Turner Stevens will each join an excellent economics Ph.D. program this fall.

Cameron, who will graduate this spring, has accepted a fully-funded offer from the Agricultural & Resource Economics Ph.D. program at the University of California-Davis. She plans to study environmental and natural resource economics.

Stevens is also graduating with his Bachelor's in Economics this spring. He will continue his education with a fully-funded offer from the University of Virginia, where he will study international economics and public finance in the Ph.D. program.

Lawson graduated with his Bachelor’s in Economics in Spring 2021 and is currently completing the M.S. in Data Analytics program at Georgia Tech. He accepted a prestigious fellowship to join the economics Ph.D. program at Georgia State University. He will study the economics of education in the Metro Atlanta Policy Lab for Education (MAPLE) with Professor Tim Sass.

Lawson was also awarded a 2022 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) in Social Sciences - Public Policy. For his Ph.D. studies, Lawson proposes to use natural language processing tools and machine learning to answer questions in labor, education and sustainability.
