The Social Democratic and Socialist parties are in a deep malaise and he probes the causal factors that have contributed to these electoral and programmatic difficulties.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nDr. Menz holds the Dragas Chair in International Studies at Old Dominion University. He obtained his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh (2002). He previously taught at the University of London (UK) and also held guest professorships at Vienna University (Austria), LUISS Carlo Luigi University (Italy), Australian National University, the European University Institute (Italy), and the University of Pittsburgh (USA).\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nHe has published widely in the fields of European politics, political economy, social and labor market policy, and immigration. His most recent book is entitled \u0026ldquo;Comparative Political Economy \u0026ldquo; (Oxford 2018).
