A Poster Showcase with hors d\u0026rsquo;oeuvres, drinks, desserts will follow the presentations.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudent teams will present the results of their problem discovery journey around nine societal issue areas. You will meet and network with our amazing community partners: \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/civilbikes.com\/\u0022\u003ECivil Bikes\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/best-fit.app\/\u0022\u003EBest Fit\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.stepaheadscholars.org\u0022\u003EStep Ahead Scholars\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/trudiary.com\u0022\u003ETruDiary\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.helpingempoweryouth.org\/who-we-are\u0022\u003EHelping Empower Youth\u003C\/a\u003E, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.nourishbotanica.cafe\/\u0022\u003ENourish Botanica\u003C\/a\u003E, and \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/umifeeds.org\u0022\u003EUmi Feeds\u003C\/a\u003E, and then vote for your favorite student team to receive the\u0026nbsp;People\u0026#39;s Choice Award. A Poster Showcase will follow the presentations, where teams will display the Stakeholder Maps they prepared on issues ranging from food recovery to\u0026nbsp;helping young adults get to and through college to equitable maternal healthcare for women of color. The team with the most comprehensive map will represent Tech at the Global Map the System Competition at the University of Oxford.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EI2S takes a comprehensive approach to\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Esocial innovation,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Eencouraging students to be compassionate listeners; identify and build on the assets of the community; research the solution landscape to learn from both what works and what has failed; take a\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Esystems approach\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;to identify the root cause versus the symptoms of the issue.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents who aspire to work closely with and learn from a community partner\/civic entrepreneur, those who want to affect change in the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EUnited Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)\u003C\/strong\u003E, and those who are wondering how they can make a real, lasting, and appropriate difference in other people\u0026rsquo;s lives are ideal candidates for I2S.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn the 2022 season, student teams learned from and worked with our Atlanta area community partners and civic entrepreneurs.\u0026nbsp;A series of\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Ehands-on workshops\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Eand\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Ediscussions\u003C\/strong\u003E, complemented by\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003Econversations with experts\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Efrom the frontlines, equipped participants with broadly relevant problem discovery tools and skills that they\u0026nbsp;can apply in any field and career. \u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EParticipating I2S Teams can apply to the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/mapthesystem.sbs.ox.ac.uk\/home\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMap the System Global Challenge\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;as\u0026nbsp;a part of our collaboration with the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the Sa\u0026iuml;d Business School at Oxford.
