It is the first time Georgia Tech has served as a university site for the competition, which gives middle and high school students the opportunity to solve linguistics puzzles.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ENine local high school students participated in the open at Georgia Tech. The open round welcomes any interested middle and high school students to participate and introduces students to the disciplines of linguistics and computational linguistics.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe students\u0026rsquo; scores in the open round are submitted to the NACLO national committee to determine who will advance to the invitational round.
