In solving these problems, students learn about the diversity and consistency of language, while exercising logic skills. No prior knowledge of linguistics or second languages is necessary.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EEach January thousands of middle and high school students across North America participate in NACLO, with the top-performing participants moving forward to the invitational and then international competitions.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EParticipation in NACLO is free. Students who are interested in taking part will however need to register to participate in the competition at the\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/nacloweb.org\/register_student.php\u0022 rel=\u0022noopener\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ENACLO registration site\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003E. Registrations will be accepted up until\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EJanuary 24, 2022\u003C\/strong\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe first (Open) round of the contest will take place on\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EThursday, January 27, 2022,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Efrom 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.\u0026nbsp;Students who perform well in the Open round will be invited to take part in the second (Invitational) round to be held on\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003EMarch 17, 2022,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003Efrom 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
