<p><em>BIO</em><br />
Anne Pollock, Ph.D., is a professor of Global Health and Social Medicine at King&rsquo;s College London. Trained in the interdisciplinary field of Science, Technology &amp; Society at MIT, she spent ten years on the faculty at Georgia Tech prior to moving to London in 2018. Her research explores feminist, antiracist, and postcolonial engagements with science, technology, and medicine, and has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the Wellcome Trust. Widely published in journals including BioSocieties, Social Science &amp; Medicine, and Social Studies of Science, she is the author of three books: Medicating Race: Heart Disease and Durable Preoccupations with Difference; Synthesizing Hope: Matter, Knowledge, and Place in South African Drug Discovery; and, most recently, Sickening: Anti-Black Racism and Health Disparities in the United States.<br />
