Why did you choose Georgia Tech?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EI chose Georgia Tech because\u0026nbsp;I am from the Atlanta area and wanted to\u0026nbsp;be near home while still challenging myself academically. I\u0026nbsp;transferred\u0026nbsp;my\u0026nbsp;sophomore\u0026nbsp;year because\u0026nbsp;Tech offered the History, Society, and Technology major.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E2. Who or what inspired you to study\u0026nbsp;history, technology, and society?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EI was inspired to study HTS because\u0026nbsp;history\u0026nbsp;has been an interest of mine since elementary school.\u0026nbsp;I wanted to expand my knowledge\u0026nbsp;of\u0026nbsp;the subject.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E3. What\u0026rsquo;s the coolest research\/project\/initiative\/event you\u0026rsquo;ve worked on\u0026nbsp;here?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe coolest project I\u0026rsquo;ve worked on was through my\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.vip.gatech.edu\/teams\/vpy\u0022\u003EConcussion Connect\u0026nbsp;VIP\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;where I was able to\u0026nbsp;help use technology to\u0026nbsp;evaluate\u0026nbsp;the effects of concussions.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E4. What was the biggest challenge\u0026nbsp;you\u0026rsquo;ve\u0026nbsp;faced at Georgia Tech, and how did you overcome it?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPrior to the pandemic, I would have said my biggest challenge was transferring in as a sophomore. At first, I did not feel as connected to the\u0026nbsp;school as I would\u0026nbsp;have liked. Although that has recently\u0026nbsp;changed,\u0026nbsp;an\u0026nbsp;additional\u0026nbsp;challenge has been the pandemic.\u0026nbsp;We\u0026nbsp;are all doing the best that we can in these uncertain times,\u0026nbsp;and I am trying to become more active this\u0026nbsp;year and\u0026nbsp;making sure that I am\u0026nbsp;managing\u0026nbsp;self\u0026ndash;care.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E5. What is your proudest achievement from your time at Georgia Tech so far?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMy proudest\u0026nbsp;moments\u0026nbsp;have\u0026nbsp;been making the Dean\u0026rsquo;s List\u0026nbsp;and being able to benefit from online learning.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E6. What is the biggest change you see in yourself now from when you arrived?\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe\u0026nbsp;biggest change\u0026nbsp;I see in\u0026nbsp;myself from my time at\u0026nbsp;Georgia\u0026nbsp;Tech\u0026nbsp;is\u0026nbsp;my awareness of the\u0026nbsp;steps\u0026nbsp;required\u0026nbsp;to\u0026nbsp;initiate\u0026nbsp;change\u0026nbsp;in society. Prior to my time at Tech, I\u0026nbsp;perceived\u0026nbsp;change as an exclusive\u0026nbsp;process,\u0026nbsp;but I have\u0026nbsp;seen my peers and instructors in active\u0026nbsp;pursuit\u0026nbsp;of widespread progress.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E7. What is your #1 piece of advice for incoming students in the School of History and\u0026nbsp;Sociology?\u003C\/h2\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EI\u0026nbsp;would\u0026nbsp;advise incoming students to\u0026nbsp;try and\u0026nbsp;immerse\u0026nbsp;themselves in all that the university has to offer. I would also say to make sure to challenge yourself academically as well as socially. It can be difficult to open yourself\u0026nbsp;up to uncomfortable situations, but in the\u0026nbsp;end,\u0026nbsp;it can be satisfying.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch2\u003E8.
