I will cover the\u0026nbsp;challenges, opportunities, decisions, and lessons learned with the focus on my transition from traditional signal processing to deep learning. I will go over how to apply for co-op, internships, or permanent positions. We have way more exciting problems to solve than the time we have, so come help us out!\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBiosketch:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003EVan Nguyen received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011 and 2016, respectively. She has worked on algorithm development for ultrawideband radar, ultrasound, haptics, audio, and speech through years of research and development in academia and industry. As a Staff Machine Learning Research Engineer in the Multimedia department at Qualcomm, she is currently leading the development of speech recognition algorithms using deep learning.
