653783 news 1639688587 1642718176 <![CDATA[Construction Activity Between Student Center and Smithgall Continues Into Spring]]> The alternate pathway in place around the Smithgall Student Services building will remain in place as construction work between the Smithgall and the Student Center site stretches into the new semester. The necessary work, once hoped to last only a few weeks, has proved more complex and will require more time to complete and restore the pathway. 

During this time, the campus community will not be able to pass between the buildings as utility work is completed and the existing sidewalk between the buildings is replaced. Additionally, the east door of Smithgall will be closed until work concludes. Access to both Smithgall and the Ferst Center for the Arts will be maintained. No other impacts are anticipated.

While this delay does not change the overall completion deadline for the project, the diversion of the pathway is expected to last for several weeks.
