{"653780":{"#nid":"653780","#data":{"type":"external_news","title":"Xu-Yan Chen Awarded 2021 SoM Fulmer Prize","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ECongratulations to \u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/people.math.gatech.edu\/~xchen\/\u0022\u003EXu-Yan Chen\u003C\/a\u003E, associate professor in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/math.gatech.edu\u0022\u003ESchool of Mathematics\u003C\/a\u003E,\u0026nbsp;and the 2021 recipient of the School\u0026#39;s\u0026nbsp;Fulmer Prize.\u0026nbsp;The prize recognizes Xu-Yan\u0026#39;s work over a number of years, contributing significantly to student success with a broad impact on engineering students at Georgia Tech.\u0026nbsp;Over the past decade, Xu-Yan has taught many engineering students in his\u0026nbsp;Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Calculus courses.\u0026nbsp;In recent years he has taken on the role of course coordinator for Differential Equations, also providing valuable materials for the other instructors in that course. His section is regularly requested by students, a further recognition of his dedication to student success.
