{"652142":{"#nid":"652142","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Center for Signal and Information Processing Hosts Weekly Seminars","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe\u0026nbsp;Center for Signal\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;Information Processing (CSIP)\u0026nbsp;in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) supports research that\u0026nbsp;involves the representation, processing, modeling, and analysis of signals, information, and physical phenomena. At the core of this research is the interpretation of\u0026nbsp;the captured data and its visualization, analysis, manipulation, and control. Research at CSIP lies at the core of modern artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms.\u0026nbsp;Some of the current projects within CSIP include, but are not limited to: \u0026nbsp;Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Machine Learning Theory;\u0026nbsp;High-dimensional\u0026nbsp;Statistics;\u0026nbsp;Conversational Systems;\u0026nbsp;Robust and Explainable AI; Active and Reinforcement Learning;\u0026nbsp;Image, Speech, Audio \u0026amp; Video Processing and Learning; and\u0026nbsp;Radar \u0026amp; Array Processing.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHosting CSIP\u0026nbsp;Seminars on current topics has been part of the ECE tradition of extended learning for\u0026nbsp;more than two decades. It is a celebration of\u0026nbsp;the students and faculty\u0026nbsp;innovation and academic excellence.\u0026nbsp;The seminars are an opportunity for our students to share and learn about current\u0026nbsp;and state-of-the-art research\u0026nbsp;happening\u0026nbsp;in ECE at Georgia Tech\u0026nbsp;and beyond. Past speakers include\u0026nbsp;graduate students, academia and industry leaders,\u0026nbsp;current and new faculty, guests, and alumni.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe tradition has included pizza for every taste.\u0026nbsp;In 2020, we pivoted to a virtual experience (no pizza). For\u0026nbsp;Fall 2021,\u0026nbsp;we continue CSIP Seminars\u0026nbsp;on\u0026nbsp;Fridays at 3:00\u0026nbsp;p.m.\u0026nbsp;(Eastern Time)\u0026nbsp;held virtually at\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/bluejeans.com\/4658604304\u0022\u003Ehttps:\/\/bluejeans.com\/4658604304\u003C\/a\u003E.
