651873 news 1634757728 1634760087 <![CDATA[Benefits Open Enrollment Period Begins Oct. 25]]> With the year coming to a close, it is a good time to review what worked well in 2021 and what not did not - including benefits!

The opportunity to make benefit changes starts next week with Open Enrollment running from Monday, October 25 through Friday, November 5.

All benefits-eligible employees can begin to review 2022 options and plan changes by visiting benefits.usg.edu.

There are two required certifications to be aware of:

  1. Working Spouse Surcharge: There will be a surcharge of $100 per month applied to spouses covered under the plan who work and receive an offer of coverage through their place of employment.
  2. Tobacco Surcharge: A $100/per month tobacco surcharge will be added to monthly premiums for individuals (and/or any of their dependents) who use tobacco products.

The Virtual Benefits Fair will take place October. 25 to 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes live sessions, chats with vendors, and benefits information. Visit usg.vfairs.com to register and attend.
