  <title><![CDATA[Kosal Appointed to Sustainable Bioindustrial Manufacturing Committee]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><a href="https://inta.gatech.edu/people/person/margaret-e-kosal">Margaret E. Kosal</a>, associate professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, was appointed to the <a href="https://biomade.org/programs/#safe-section">BioMADE 4S Committee</a>, which stands for safe, secure, sustainable, and socially responsible. BioMADE is an initiative sponsored by the Department of Defense, designed to promote sustainable, domestic, and end-to-end bioindustrial manufacturing.</p>

<p>The 4S Committee is one of three within BioMADE. Its goal is to ensure that all of BioMADE&rsquo;s technical, educational, workforce, and community projects work to achieve the four &ldquo;s&rdquo; words that give the committee its name.</p>

<p>Georgia Tech is a governing member of BioMADE, with other faculty members involved across the organization.</p>
