651097 news 1632507994 1632772351 <![CDATA[Brown Wins World Citizen Prize in Environmental Performance Award]]> Marilyn Brown, Regents Professor and Brook Byers Professor of Sustainable Systems in the School of Public Policy, received the 2021 World Citizen Prize in Environmental Performance Award from the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM). The award is given to those whose research realizes new pathways to measurable gains in environmental performance, namely in regard to reducing consumption and waste.

Brown won the award for her work with Drawdown Georgia, a group of academic partners striving to reduce carbon emissions in Georgia, as well as her accompanying publication, “A framework for localizing global climate solutions and their carbon reduction potential.”

The award will be presented to Brown at APPAM’s Fall Research Conference, held in Austin, Texas in March 2022.
